let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

weaping trees in my yard

This is my house a few days ago.

Our power has gone out two more times in the past few hours and we are trying desperately to heat it back up. Right now it's 57. Our friend is on his way over with a drywall heater that should heat it up real quick.

I have put my foot down and refuse to leave. Even if we all end up huddling together under a mountain of sleeping bags.

We have had nine inches of snow in the past 90 minutes and it's not letting up. The snow is up to my hipbone.

What happened to Fall?

I am stuck in this surreal half-life.

I hope all returns to normal soon.

What a way to delay the start of the holiday season.

Wish me luck.

AAAHH!!!! I kept getting "unable to post your comment" messages. Oops! So here I am....leaving another one. :)

Holy Snowcat, Batgirl!

From the outside looking in...what fun!

From the inside...brrrr!!!

Just think of the stories your kids will tell of the Winter of ought six.

Stay warm, dear heart.

That much snow all at once is just unbelievable. I hope your power stays on and the place warms up so you can at least enjoy the weather drama.

Good luck.

:^)

never in my life have i been in snow up to my hipbone, though cleveland can throw down some pretty severe snowstorms. i'm thinking warm thoughts for you!

but it's almost december- fall is OVER missy! hang in there.. stay warm.. get naked!

Been there. A few years ago we got 4 feet of snow in 24 hours on Halloween! It's not fun, although it IS beautiful. Your house is COLD baby. Hope the heat and power and water are all restored to you soon and you experience the great relief and joy of modern conveniences!

You may not believe it but I am envious!

Holy hell! That's an unreasonable amount of snow. And I get cranky when the thermostat dips below 67. Sending you warm vibes.

Wow. That's a helluva lot of snow. Good luck, Jess...

Your house is beautiful. :)

That's a lot of snow! And we're having the opposite problem here in Philly - it's so warm it just doesn't really feel like December at all.
