Miami tends to have that effect of relief. When I came back to Miami, where I reside, from Boston I had this relief of feeling "home" again. I take alot of Miami things for granted like the beaches, but luv the weather not so much when it's suffocating hot, though. Glad to hear you're having fun and let us know the places you've been visiting...
